Objectives: After completing this unit, the student should be able to:

Students will Participate in Demonstration provided by DoAll saw rep on functions of the vertical bandsaw.

CC.3.5.9-10.J. – By the end of grade 10, read and comprehend science/technical texts in the grades 9–10 text complexity band independently and proficiently.

901      Identify & demonstrate safety procedures for using vertical and horizontal power saws.

902      Demonstrate cutting and welding saw blades.

903      Remove and replace saw blades.

904      Demonstrate 3 tooth rule for selecting blades.

905      Demonstrate accurate sawing.

906      Select and set speeds for various sawing operations.

Students will participate answering questions and taking notes

Students will be give shop demonstration of procedures

Students will demonstrate their ability to weld saw blades
