As we enter the 2025-26 school year, I am starting my 18th year of teaching and my 16th year at Schuylkill Technology Center. At STC, we offer four courses of Social Studies: American Studies I, American Studies II, Civics/Government & Economics, and World Studies. Along with my teaching duties, I have been a Skills USA co-advisor since 2011. My experiences shared with the members of this student organization have been greatly rewarding. The students never cease to amaze me: setting up charity fundraisers, performing community service tasks, showcasing their career and technical skills and knowledge in Skills USA competitions at the district, state, and national levels! In 2015, I completed training, obtained my Student Assistance Program certification and now contribute to the SAP Team on campus.
