Mrs. Caroline Barnhart
Hello and WELCOME to my teacher page! I shared some information below about me that you might not know. Enjoy!
My Personal Information
My name is Mrs. Caroline Barnhart. I am blessed to have in my life two beautiful, young daughters (Jo & Lilah), my husband (Matt), and a fluffy goldendoodle (Pongo). I love spending time with my family and friends; seeing my students grow & learn; coaching and attending my daughter's sporting activities; playing basketball; going out to dinner (everywhere); and spending a lot of time at the beach in Sea Isle, NJ. Most importantly, I enjoy seeing people smile, laugh and enjoying all aspects of life : )
My Educational Experience
I graduated from Blue Mountain High School in 1997. After high school, I attended Alvernia University and played four years of women's basketball for the Crusaders. I graduated and earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree and Teaching Certification in Elementary Education K-6 and a Special Education N-12 Teaching Certification.
After graduation from college, I earned a Masters of Education Degree also from Alvernia University. In 2016, I earned a Supervisory of Special Education Certificate K-12, and pursued and completed an Educational Administration Certification Program K-12 from Penn State University.
My Work Experience
I have been a special educator at the Schuylkill Technology Centers for 18 years. Throughout my 18 years of teaching at STC, I have had the pleasure to experience a variety of teaching roles and responsibilites, such as teaching direct instruction to students in a learning support math classroom environment, as well as co-teaching students in the history classroom environment.
Currently, I provide itinerant support and indiviualized instruction to students within their respective shop and history classroom settings. I am a team member of the Transition Council Committee; Student Assistance Program; and Safety Committee.
