All tuition credits will be applied to the student’s account after all financial aid is applied. Please note, tuition credits have no cash value and are only used to cover the cost of tuition.

STC Graduate Tuition Credits
STC offers a one-time tuition credit of $1500.00 for any secondary student. The student must have graduated no more than three years prior to enrollment and be enrolled in one of our postsecondary classes that is at least 400 hours in length. If a student qualifies for this credit, STC will also waive the application fee.

STC Employee Dependent Tuition Credits
Any dependent of a Schuylkill Technology Center or Schuylkill Intermediate Unit full-time employee who applies to a post-secondary program that is at least 400 hours in length will be eligible to receive a total $1,500.00 tuition credit. If a student qualifies for this credit, STC will also waive the application fee.

Veteran/Dislocated Worker Tuition Credits
This is a one-time tuition credit of $1,000.00 for veterans and dislocated workers to be applied toward the tuition costs of their post-secondary program that is at least 400 hours in length. The tuition credit will be applied to the student’s account after all training monies from the Trade Adjustment Assistance/Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (TAA/WIOA) are applied.

Practical Nursing Program Tuition Credit for High School Seniors
STC offers a one-time tuition credit of $1500.00 for students who meet the criteria below:
The financial status of the applicant’s family shall have no bearing on the award. The tuition credit will be applied directly to the recipient’s account during Term III. Tuition credits have no cash value and are only used to cover the cost of tuition. Administration shall evaluate the applications submitted and make the final decision on the awarding of the tuition credit.
1. High School Senior
2. Academic Average of “B” or better
3. Proof of enrollment in the upcoming STC Practical Nursing Program
4. Maintain grade and attendance requirements as outlined in the student handbook
5. Complete application
6. Official transcript sent directly by district to committee
7. A letter of reference from two of the following:
     STC teacher (if applicable)
     Academic (i.e. district teacher)
     Community (i.e. volunteer group)
     Employment (paid experience, job shadowing, internship, and co-op)
The applicant must submit all items on or before the middle of the first term to the STC PN Coordinator, Attn: Kim O'Neill, 101 Technology Drive, Frackville, PA 17931.

Practical Nursing Program Tuition Credit for Adult Students
STC offers a one-time tuition credit of $1500.00 for PN students who meet the criteria below:
The financial status of the applicant shall have no bearing on the award. The tuition credit will be applied directly to the recipient’s account during Term III. Tuition credits have no cash value and are only used to cover the cost of tuition. Administration shall evaluate the applications submitted and make the final decision on the awarding of the tuition credit.
1. An adult returning to school with the desire to pursue a career in the health field.
2. Proof of enrollment in Term II of the PN Program.
3. Maintain grade and attendance requirements as outlined in the student handbook
4. Complete application
5. List of any part-time and full-time jobs and responsibilities
6. List of public and or community service
7. Two letters of reference
The applicant must submit all items on or before the start of their third term to the STC PN Coordinator, Attn: Kim O'Neill, 101 Technology Drive, Frackville, PA 17931.
