    Kasper - Whelan Education Trust $1500 Scholarship

    Riverview Bank serves as Trustee of a new educational scholarship.  The Kasper-Whelan Education Trust was established by the Last Will and Testament of Anthony John Orlick.  This Fund was established to provide scholarships up to $1,500.00 per person for any student pursuing education after high school.  The number of scholarships will vary each year. 

    Requirements to receive this scholarship are:

    (a)          the student must be a legal resident of Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania at the time of the drawing

    (b)          be accepted at any institution recognized by the Pennsylvania Department of Education or recognized national accrediting agency

    (c)           be enrolled or accepted by the institution mentioned in (b) above at the time of application

    Only one application per person may be submitted each year.   Applications are also available at Riverview Bank Trust Department located at 2638 Woodglen Road, Pottsville, PA 17901.

    ABC Keystone's Merit Scholarship

    ABC Keystone’s Merit Shop Training & Research Center Scholarship opportunity with you. Every year, the Center awards multiple scholarships to individuals seeking to further their education in careers in construction and eligibility is tied to the applicant’s enrollment in a trade school, college or university program that is directly related to a construction career.

    Thomas W. O'Brien Memorial Scholarship

    We are pleased to announce that the application for the sixth Thomas W. O’Brien Memorial Scholarship is now available and being distributed to all CTEs in Pennsylvania. The application can be obtained by going to www.cte.iup.edu/scholarship.

    Applications must be postmarked by Friday, April 3, 2020.

    SNAYBERGER MEMORIAL FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP

    Applications will be available beginning January 15, 2020 and the deadline is March 31, 2020

    Applications must be mailed to the Wilmington Trust Bank, they cannot be hand delivered.

    Preference is given to a student who resides in Schuylkill County, is not older than 25 years, and whose parent or grandparent (not great-grandparent) worked for the Walkin Shoe Company at any time up and until Mr. Snayberger's death on 9/20/1974.
