Mr. Scott Reichert
I started in the Restaurant Industry when I was 15 years old. I started as a bus boy and quickly worked my way up through the kitchen. I immediately fell in love with my what I was doing. I am a Graduate of The Culinary Institute of America and have over 30 years experience in my profession. I still remain active in the Industry by working with a close friend of mine in his Restaurant as well as operate my own catering business.
I have been teaching since 1997 and feel that this is truly what I was meant to do. I have the unique opportunity to pass along my knowledge to others. My entire career has been so rewarding watching so many of my students graduate and go out and become Culinary Professionals. I am truly grateful for what this job as given me. I have dedicated my life to making sure children get the the best shot at being a success. I'm a family man as well, being married to my wife Susan since 1994. I have two beautiful children a son Derek and a daughter Kayleigh.
I Stay actively involved in my community by coaching youth baseball and football as well as a Cub Scout Leaded. I'm a member of the Orwigsburg Lions club and sit on the Blue Mountain School Board. I feel its important to give back to your community. At the Technology Center I am a Skills USA Advisor as well.
