Mr. James Gurcsik

I started in the industry when I was 13 years old washing dishes. I quickly moved to working, operating and managing the line respectively. I am a graduate of Tamaqua High School and I have bachelors in hotel and restaurant management from The Culinary Institute of America. Upon graduation I was a multi-unit kitchen manager for Fegley brew works in Allentown and Bethlehem. Prior to becoming a teacher I was a Divisional Market Chef for 10 units from in the north east division. I am an instructor of ServSafe which is an industry certification that I teach to the students throughout their program of study. I am currently working on my Masters in Education from Temple University.  I am also an adjunct professor for Temple University.
